PJ Harvey - You Come Through

Almost as far away from the stripped-down, sensual rock of The Letter as it's possible to get, You Come Through is a slower, less welcoming song that the single that preceded it but, in its bleak, insistent rhythm, recalls Down By The Water from 1995's To Bring You My Love. There's remains the PJ Harvey's beloved blues but, this time, it's buried far underneath the beats and Harvey's languid vocal.

As well as our earlier review of The Letter, Raphael Pour-Hashemi has reviewed the album release of Uh Huh Her from which his single was taken.
