Iron Maiden - The Number Of The Beast

Duh-nuh-nu-nuh-nuh-nuh and so on. If you don't know this by now, you'll probably never know it at all. Quite simply, it still sounds marvelous and if it sounds dated, please bear in mind it probably sounded dated when it was very first recorded. Bruce Dickinson wails like a banshee, the twin guitar assaults still sound like buzz saws and the lyrics still don't make sense after all these years. Iron Maiden are the quintessential pure heavy metal band - much less bluesy than the other two untouchables AC/DC and Motorhead, and this is a timely reminder of their power and legacy. Strange time to release a single, wouldn't it be wonderful if this got to number one? Please make it so.
