Clor - Love + Pain

After forming in November 2003, Clor have been extensively distributing their ‘sound’ in various London nightspots including Club Clor at Brixton’s much loved Windmill where Clor gather together a cacophony of likeminded artists and bands.

This debut single from Clor is an interesting one to say the least. I say ‘debut’, but it’s really their 2nd after releasing ‘Welcome Music Lovers’ in July 04 which subsequently sold out its 1000 run.
Sounding like a hybrid mix of various electronica sounds like Daft Punk, Tom Vek and The Postal Service crossed with the vocal stylings of The Shins, Love + Pain is a surprisingly catchy tune which should hopefully become a big hit in the indie/electronica clubs around the country this summer. However, the band admit that this single release is the most ‘commercial’ on the album, whether that’s a pointer to the album being more inaccessible or not we’ll just have to wait and see.

Love + Pain is released on EMI on the 25th April.
