Audioslave - Out Of Exile

Ignoring the tradition of the second album being difficult, Audioslave have lived up to expectations after the release of their debut album in 2002.

After the break up of Soundgarden and Rage Against The Machine and the formation of Audioslave and an extra three years experience of playing together, Out Of Exile is rock maturity realised.

Guitarist, Tom Morrello takes a subtle hand at more melodic styles and Cornell’s voice has lost its hoarse edge and aged into a weathered timbre, but the passion is still there particularly in opener, Your Time Has Come and the next single to be released, June 13, Be Yourself.

Unfortunately, there isn’t anything overly special here as compared to their previous incarnations or the Audioslave singles Cochise or Like A Stone from their debut album. Yet, with such a pedigree and loyal following, nothing on Out Of Exile will disappoint fans.
