Pennywise - All Or Nothing

They'll be celebrating their 25th anniversary next year, yet California's Pennywise have shown no sign of slowing down. All Or Nothing is their tenth studio full-length and the first with new vocalist Zoli Téglás, following original member Jim Lindberg's decision to call it a day in 2009. It's a scenario that pretty much kills most bands, but a few plays suggests they've managed to ride out that particular bump and deliver a solid set of anthemic, West coast punk most long-term fans will enjoy.

Indeed, Téglás' presence seems to have re-ignited some of passion that's been missing over the past decade or so and All Or Nothing comes replete with a core of rabble-rousing call to arms like 'Let Us Hear Your Voice' and 'Revolution'. If there are flaws, they're largely inherent in the format: most of the tracks are indistinguishable from one another and, of course, don't sound that different from anything Epitaph have been peddling for the last 20 years. In fairness, Pennywise were among the first to do it - and are still showing the young 'uns how to do it properly.
