Fear No Fish - Now Or Never

Now Or Never, debut EP from Surrey trio Fear No Fish, just about fulfills its promise of bringing "old school rock back to the masses". The vocals are passionate and strong, the melodies engaging with just enough oomph to give them a bit of an edge. This is particularly apparent on Biffy-esque 'Paint By Numbers' and the rather good 'The Truth' that purrs along menacing and insistent. There is still room to grow and perhaps not play so close to the rules, as with rock-anthem -by-numbers opening track 'Stay', but Now Or Never is an impressive debut from this up and coming band.
