The Silent Alarms get a Bloc Booking

Bloc Party warmed-up for their headline appearance at the Splendour In The Grass festival in Australia tonight (24th July) by playing a secret gig in a 400 capacity Byron Bay pub on Australia's Gold Coast. Billed as The Silent Alarms the band surprised the crowd (and themselves) by playing their debut album of the same name in it's entirety from start to finish.

The setlist:
Like Eating Glass
Positive Tension
Two More Years
So Here We Are
Blue Light
The Marshals Are Dead
Little Thoughts
This Modern Love
She's Hearing Voices

The band also played Price of Gas but missed it off the original setlist. Kele told the crowd: "they billed us as The Silent Alarms so we decided to live up to the name. We're here in the most beautiful part of Australia and we wanted to do something special for you"

The new single 'One More Chance' is out on the 10th of August on Wichita Recordings
