The Go! Team Unveil 'Semicircle Song'

The Go! Team have this week announced a new album and released the first single to be taken from it. The album, Semicircle, will be out in the new year with the title track 'Semicircle Song', available immediately.

Talking about the single, band member Ian Parton said: "The vocals for “Semicircle Song” were recorded in Detroit with a bunch of teenagers who we were filming as they were singing - so the footage in the video were the actual takes that made it onto the record."

While 2015's The Scene Between saw the original line up dissolve, Semicircle has a fresh new team with two remaining from the old group. Looking for a marching band kind of feel, the album was recorded with The Detroit Youth Choir and features instruments including glockenspiel and steel drums.

“We don’t want to be dumbly optimistic and say, ‘Hey, isn’t everything great!’ but there’s something to be said for just getting on with it, for getting organised and not letting the fuckers get you down."

The album will be available on 19th January on limited edition neon pink vinyl, CD and digital download. The band will be on tour throughout the UK in February 2018.
