Satica is here... Check out her new, sure to be huge, single

Dusky R&B tinged pop is the order of the day with Satica's new track 'You Are Here' - it's an infectious and unique tune that is impossible to ignore.

Long Beach pop newcomer Satica first got her start as a songwriter for K-Pop powerhouse label SM, but earned her first taste of the spotlight with the release of her debut solo effort SIRENUM in 2014, gaining the attention of management company Transparent Agency (Far East Movement). A feature on Manila Killa's hit "Youth," which has netted nearly 3 million spins on Spotify, only further cemented her hype as one to seriously watch.

Crediting her Cambodian refugee parents, and their longterm struggle with PTSD after their emigration to the US, with nurturing her creative spirit, Satica's talent as a wordsmith manifested itself first in poetry, and then in songwriting. The budding artist returns fully realized and triumphant today with the release of her new EP Drippin', previewed by the standout smoky-saccharine gem "Honey Whiskey" and her recent collab wtih Sakima on "Dysfunctional." But it's album standout "You Are Here," produced by her Moving Castles label mate AOBeats, that shines brightest.

Over a glistening, nostalgically cast web of glitchy electronics, the singer-songwriter coos about the youthful rush of falling in love, and the desperation it often creates -- an intensity that can only be described as true longing. "In real life, the feeling is simple, you miss them and you love being around them," she says of the latest sonic earworm. "But sometimes it hurts."

Satica's "Drippin'" EP is available everywhere today.
