Oxfam Launches First Charity Download Site

Oxfam will launch Big Noise Music on 26th May which offers music fans the chance to legally download their favourite tracks - including exclusives from Faithless and George Michael - while at the same time helping Oxfam raise awareness and support for their Make Trade Fair campaign.

Big Noise Music is about raising awareness for Oxfam's global petition called the Big Noise which calls on governments and world leaders to Make Trade Fair. Over 5 million people have signed the petition ranging from coffee farmers through to influential people like the Dalai Lama and artists such as Chris Martin from Coldplay and Damon Albarn from Blur. So while you download your music, you can also sign up to the petition, doing your bit for Make Trade Fair.

In addition to this, 10p from every £1.00 spent on a download goes to help support people in some of the poorest countries of the world.
