New Zealander Willy Moon has announced that his debut single 'I Wanna Be Your Man' will be released on October 24th. You can check out the video to the track, which references Buddy Holly, below:

Outsider rock act The Skull Defekts are heading to the UK in October, with an appearance at Supersonic Festival and SWN Festival on the cards. In addition to this the band have announced a headline date in London.

The band are also planning to release a brand new EP in December, once again collaborating with Daniel Higgs, and now fellow Lungfish member Asa Osborne (Zomes). 2013-3012 was recorded during a tour of the US and features three tracks which are played as normall on the A-side, but from the inner-most groove out on the B-side.

Yeah Nothing is the debut album from Irish garage pop trio Squarehead. The record is scheduled for release through the Richter Collective on September 19th. This will be preceded by lead single ‘Fake Blood’, on September 5th.

With her debut album, Yours Truly, Cellophane Nose, set for release on 23rd January 2012 on Mute Records, Newcastle’s psychedelic pop polymath Beth Jeans Houghton and her band The Hooves Of Destiny will be releasing the first single, 'Liliputt' on 7” and download on 24th October 2011.

Finland's Insomnium have unveiled a new song in the shape of 'Unsung', the first track to be taken from their forthcoming album One For Sorrow. That album will be released on the 17th October, and shortly after the band will embark on a European tour including a stop-off in London on the 15th November at the Underworld.

Chickenfoot, featuring guitar hero Joe Satriani, frontman Sammy Hagar, former Van Halen bassist Michael Anthony and drummer Chad Smith, have confirmed multiple UK release dates and formats for their second album Chickenfoot III, the follow-up to 2009’s award-winning eponymous debut album.

The album will initially be released in the UK as an exclusive Limited Edition Fan Pack, and will coincide with the international album release date of Tuesday September 27th. Produced by Mike Fraser (AC/DC, Metallica), the album will come in specially designed 3D packaging. The Fan Pack includes two exclusive bonus tracks - Down The Drain (Live in Phoenix) and Oh Yeah! (Live in Phoenix) - and a 132-page magazine dedicated to the band.

On Monday October 24th, Chickenfoot III will be released in the UK on CD, Deluxe Edition CD & DVD, and 12" vinyl. The Deluxe Edition CD & DVD will include a Chickenfoot III EPK, Big Foot promotional video, Turning Left (live in Phoenix) and the Sexy Little Thing promotional video.

Givers have unveiled the video for their second single 'Meantime' over on their YouTube/ Vevo channel. 'Meantime' will be released on the 3rd October via Glassnote/ Island Records. 'Meantime' follows Givers' debut single 'Up Up Up' and is taken from their forthcoming debut album In Light, which is released in the UK on the 10th October.

Flowers and Sea Creatures have announced two live shows: Friday, Sept 9 at The Nest, London; Saturday, Sept 10 at Ketrholzig, Berlin. Both appearances are as part of Buzzin' Fly nights. Their debut album is set for release on Buzzin' Fly Records in late September.

DEVolution – consisting of Artful Dodger founder Pete Devereux and former Size Records artist Tom Devos – will release their debut single ‘Good Love’ on September 12th on One More Tune / Warner Bros. Records.

Based in Glasgow, Scotland, Remember Remember return with their second album The Quickening on 26th September on Rock Action Records. Recorded in early 2011 at Chem 19 Studios, Scotland against a background of tumultuous global events, The Quickening sees Remember Remember return with the same seven piece group heard on last year’s RR Scorpii EP. They play an album launch show on SEPTEMBER 24 in Glasgow @ Stereo.

Beaty Heart will be supporting The Rapture on a string of dates as well as dates at Ross Allen’s Meltdown night at The Social, London and on the NME Stage at SWN Festival in Cardiff. They play:

S.C.U.M. are set to release a new single, ‘Whitechapel’ on Mute on 26 September 2011. ‘Whitechapel’, available on 12” and download, is the second single from S.C.U.M’s debut album Again Into Eyes which is released on 12 September. The 12” comes backed with exclusive track ‘Blindness’ and both the vinyl and download feature the Carter Tutti (Throbbing Gristle / Chris and Cosey) remix of the title track.
