London-based band The Dogbones are releasing their forthcoming single 'The Whole World is Weird’ on 30th August via record label Cadiz Music. The single will be a download only release and available on iTunes. Formed in 2009, The Dogbones are a 5-piece band comprising ex-Queen Adreena and ex-Daisy Chainsaw members. Described as a primal, sneering, garage punk band with 2 drummers and a girl with ants in her pants their influences are “the electric guitar, nursery rhymes and tribal drums“.

San Diego quartet Transfer release a new single, 'Take Your Medicine', on Cool Green Recordings on October 3rd.



Welcome to Parallax is the third long player from Atlas Sound, the solo project from Bradford Cox of Deerhunter. The artwork and photos were done by Mick Rock, the legendary photographer best known for his work with David Bowie. ...Parallax will be released on November 7th via 4AD.

Apparat release a new single 'Song of Los' on 26th September on Mute, taken from the forthcoming album The Devil’s Walk (out on the same day). A tour in support of the album follows in October:

Singer and songwriter Jason Derulo has announced the full track-listing for his upcoming sophomore album Future History, which will be released by Beluga Heights/Warner Bros. Records on September 27th, 2011. A Deluxe Edition featuring an autographed CD of Future History, an instant digital download of Derulo's latest single "It Girl," two bonus digital tracks, and remixes of the singles will also be available. October 9th sees the debut single release from Lana Del Rey – 'Video Games' / 'Blue Jeans'. Describing herself as the “gangsta Nancy Sinatra” and her music as Hollywood Sadcore, Lana’s self-made videos for the tracks have already caused a major stir on You Tube.
