Voting is now open for MTV Brand New For 2012 as, for the first time ever for an unsigned artist, Context was named the final nominee. He will compete against the likes of Lana Del Rey and BBC Sound Of 2012 winner Michael Kiwanuka for the crown, with the full list of nominees available on the official website - www.mtv.co.uk/brandnew.
Two exclusive gigs will take place at London's KOKO later this month with The Maccabees, Lana Del Rey and Charli XCX performing on January 24th, and Emeli Sandé, Michael Kiwanuka and Delilah performing on the 25th.

VCMG release one of 2012’s most anticipated musical collaborations with the album Ssss, out on Mute on 12 March 2012. Auction For The Promise Club are an indie rock three piece with raw vitality and serious potential. Their debut EP, One is out February 24th and was recorded at London’s famed Abbey Road. Be sure not to miss the band’s special show at London’s 100 Club on Feb 24th which marks the release of the EP.

St. Spirit are a five-piece band named after the island San Esperito from the cult Xbox game Just Cause. Originating from South London the five nineteen year old friends formed the band whilst at college last year. Their debut album was recorded in a living room, by the band and mixed in a garden by world-renowned engineer Adrian Bushby (Muse, Foo Fighters). The first taste of which is the EP Pigeon, released through Distiller Records on February 20th.

Aussie garage-pop ‘n’ surf-punk band Bleeding Knees Club are set to embark on a UK tour this February ahead of the release of their debut album Nothing To Do, out on IAMSOUND/Columbia Records on February 27th. Alex, Jordan and Matthew will return to the UK in support of the album, kicking off with their first show at the Green Door Store in Brighton on February 22nd followed by two London shows at the Old Blue Last on the 23rd and KOKO on the 24th.
