Music news round-up: Weds 27th February

Melvins will play their albums Lysol and Houdini at London Brixton Electric on Sunday 19 May and Bullhead and Stoner Witch at the same venue on Monday 20 May.

David Byrne and St. Vincent will play:

27th - LONDON, Roundhouse
28th - BIRMINGHAM, Symphony Hall
29th - GLASGOW, Royal Concert Hall
30th - SALISBURY, End of the Road Festival

... in August as part of a European tour.

Little Boots releases a new studio album, Nocturnes on May 6th, on her newly launched On Repeat Records imprint via Kobalt Music. Written and recorded all around the world (Los Angeles, New York, Paris, Stockholm etc) and produced by DFA Records co-founder Tim Goldsworthy, other contributions come from Simian Mobile Disco's James Ford and Hercules and Love Affair's Andy Butler.

Charli XCX (AKA 20-year old Hertfordshire born Charli Aitchison) will release her debut album True Romance through Asylum Records on April 15th.

AlunaGeorge will release a new single, 'Attracting Flies' on March 10th. An album, Body Music will follow on July 1st.

IRIS release their brand new single ‘Lights At Ten’ on 29 April. They play:
