As a warm up to their slot at Underage Festival on August 31st, Nottingham five-piece Dog Is Dead have announced a headline date at London's Barfly on July 24th, the day after the release of their new single 'Glockenspiel Song' through Atlantic Records. Tickets for the Barfly gig are on sale now.


Taken from their recent album Hello Land! (the first of four albums to be released this year), 'Fleet' is being given away as a free download by Guillemots. To get your hands on your free copy, visit - Check out a live acoustic version of the track, filmed at London's Village Underground, below.


Oxfordshire based all-female quartet Evarose have released the video to 'Change', a track taken from their forthcoming EP Elements which is out on August 6th.

Hotly tipped US band Walk The Moon have made their debut track 'Tightrope' available as a free download, available now. Taken from their critically-acclaimed self-titled album which entered the US album charts in the Top 40 last week – it has been produced by Ben H. Allen (Gnarls Barkley, Animal Collective) and is set for release in the UK in autumn.

On July 30th, Oxford quartet A Silent Film will release their new EP This Stage Is Your Life through Creative Media. Conceived in a makeshift recording studio in Cave Creek Arizona, the EP also features a piano version of ‘Danny Dakota And The Wishing Well’, which is set to appear on the new album Sand & Snow released early next year.


Ben Howard releases his new single 'Old Pine' on August 6th, the latest track to be taken from his debut album Every Kingdom. Listen to the Everything Everything remix of the track below.


Lindsey Troy and Julie Edwards, aka Deap Vally, have unveiled the new video for their debut single 'Gonna Make My Own Money', out July 30th on Ark Recordings. The video was shot earlier this year in the scorching heat of California's San Fernando Valley by Pablo Balderas and features a cameo from a beautiful 1970s Mustang. Check it out below.

‘I Would Not Stay’ is the new single from Somerset-born singer/songwriter Kimmy Reader, who will be performing at Summer Series at Somerset House with What Next in support to Katy B this summer. ‘I Would Not Stay’ is available to stream on Bandcamp - - and will be available on Spotify throughout July in association with Somerset House.

Trojan Records has collaborated with heritage footwear brand Clarks Originals for an ambitious international remix project to celebrate 40 years of the Desert Trek boot – renamed the Trojan Trek – for the Clarks Originals AW12 collection. The iconic reggae label will be releasing four new mixes of the classic hit ‘Let Your Yeah Be Yeah’ by The Pioneers, delivered by some of the hottest DJs and producers across the world.
Kicking off the #ORIGINALSREMIXED campaign for the UK is Radio One DJ, producer, re-mixer and composer Toddla T whose infamous fusion of electro, garage and dubstep is blended with the reggae classic, creating a dancehall track set to twist up the dance floor this summer. Available for free download on now, Clarks Originals will also be airing an excusive video and interview with Toddla T offering an insight into the musical mind of the celebrated DJ producer.

Repping Italy is Riva Starr, who has remixed everyone from Usher, Estelle and Plan B, to Fatboy Slim, Azari & III and Major Lazer. Infamous in the worldwide DJ community, this colourful and exuberant bright new star promises a funky twisted house remix for a track that’s dynamite on the dance-floor. The Riva Starr remix will be available on August 6th as a free download.

Representing Japan is The Mighty Crown, a collective formed in 1991. Major players on the dancehall scene and taking the title as the biggest reggae act to emerge from Japan, this collective promises to explode with a fusion of dancehall, reggae and hip-hop in their distinct production style. This remix will be available on September 3rd as a free download.
For the USA there is TOKiMONSTA (Jennifer Lee), once an unfocused pupil of classical piano and now one of the most cutting edge members of a growing group of LA based electro producers. TOKiMONSTA hopes to fuse elements of vintage sounds with classical hip-hop beats for the ultimate in urban flavour. Remix available October 1st as a free download.

Trojan Records will also be releasing the material via its website - - on vinyl, CD and digitally.


Indie rock trio Now Now will be crossing the Atlantic this September for their first ever headline tour in the UK, shortly after the UK release of their sophomore album Threads, available on August 27th via Trans Records. Check out the video for lead single 'Thread' below.
