Music news round up: w/e 21 April

Mary Epworth has announced that her debut album Dream Life will be released on June 18th through Hand Of Glory / ADA. The album will be preceded by new single 'Long Gone' a week earlier on June 11th.


London duo Man Like Me will be releasing their new single 'Squeeze' on May 28th. The track was mixed by Mike Skinner - one of his first projects since retiring from The Streets - who had also mixed and produced the duo's new album, due out this summer.


'110%' will be the new single released by South Londoner Jessie Ware on June 4th through PMR Records. The track was produced by Julio Bashmore and you can check out the video below.

Jessie has also announced a homecoming show at London's Plan B venue on August 15th and will be playing a host of festivals over the summer. Full dates below:

Slovenia’s Elvis Jackson have just released their new single 'This Time' which is taken from the album Against The Gravity. Scoring radio play from Kerrang! Radio, Q Radio, Total Rock and the BBC, it was released during their sell-out 13 date UK tour of March 2012. Now, the band have revealed a brand new video for the track.

Filmed in Slovenia at an altitude of 2200 meters, on the Kanin mountain range above Bovec, it’s a simply shot video capturing beautiful panoramic shots of the region, accompanied by a live Elvis Jackson performance.


Get Cape Wear Cape Fly have just released a video for 'Daylight Robbery', the first single to be released from his upcoming album, Maps, available May 7th via Cooking Vinyl.

Hotly tipped charm-rockers The Social Club (Alcopop! Records) will be hitting the road this May for a run of UK dates around their return to Brighton's prestigious Great Escape Festival. This will be the band's first run of dates since the release of second EP For Dancing which forms the midpoint in a trilogy of interconnected releases. For Drinking was released in September 2011, and For Conversation will be unveiled soon.

‘Icon’ will be released on June 3rd and is the first single from Benga’s forthcoming second album Chapter 2, due for release in August on Columbia Records.

June 3rd also marks an important date that will see Benga and friends take over London’s Koko. Benga will be performing a full live show featuring his new material for the first time. Special guests include Joker, Youngman, Alunageorge and Dismantle among others (including a surprise).


After departing Victory Records in July 2010, Chicago-based pop-punk band THE AUDITION are set to self-release their brand new EP, titled Chapter II on June 11th in the UK to coincide with appearances at the 2012 Slam Dunk Festival in Leeds, Herts and Wales.
