The Enemy's new single 'This Is Real' will be out on October 22nd through Cooking Vinyl. The track will also be on an EA SPORTS FIFA 13 EP, released on September 24th, along with their recent single 'Saturday' and two tracks from Reverend And The Makers. Yorkshire-based female-fronted alternative rock band Claire Cameron Band will mark the release of their EP Time Will Tell, out on September 28th through Feedme Records, with a headline gig at London's 100 Club on the same day. Tickets are on sale now priced at £8 advance and £10 on the door. If you're Yorkshire-based, you can take advantage of the band's tour bus offer which includes travel from Leeds-London and back, bacon butties, a ticket to the gig and a signed copy of the seven-track EP for £30 all in.


MTV have announced that Alicia Keys is to debut tracks from her new album Girl On Fire, out November 26th, at their upcoming MTV Crashes Manchester gig on September 24th. MTV Crashes Manchester is a free ticketed music event, which will be filmed as an MTV World Stage, and takes place for the first time ever in Manchester Cathedral. For more information, visit


Mercury Prize nominees Django Django and Jessie Ware have announced details of their next singles. Django's 'Life's A Beach' is out on October 31st through Because Music following the end of their sold-out UK tour, while Jessie's 'Night Light' is out a week earlier on October 22nd through PMR.


Scala & Kolacny Brothers have revealed that they will release an alternative Christmas album on November 12th through [PIAS] Recordings. December will feature covers of the likes of Joni Mitchell’s ‘River’, Smashing Pumpkins’ ‘Christmastime’ and Sufjan Stevens’ ‘Christmas! Let’s Be Glad’. Due for release on Cherry Red Records on November 19th, Yin and Yang is the first collaboration by Jah Wobble and Keith Levene since they co-wrote Gary Clail’s hit, 'Beef How Low Can You Go' in the early 1990s.

On November 1st The Red The White and The Blue present ‘Crisis!’ and ‘Flying With You’, the first two tracks and corresponding issues from their comic series The Balloonist. The Red The White and The Blue are Paul Cronin on guitars, Ed Loades on vocals, joined by Rick McMurray from Ash on drums and Taka Hirose from Feeder on bass.

The Balloonist is a story told over ten songs and ten accompanying comic books, which will be released in print, traditional music formats, plus motion comic videos. Visit their website for more information.
