Lissy Trullie heads out with the Cribs

2009 has been a whirlwind year for Lissy Trullie: having been declared one of the hottest new acts at SXSW, the band’s stellar rise was put on hold when Lissy’s bassist Ian Fenger was diagnosed with severe swine flu and rushed to hospital in Germany during their tour of Europe earlier in the summer.

Thankfully Ian has made a full recovery and the band are looking forward to putting the frustration of their cancelled UK shows behind them with their forthcoming tour supporting The Cribs and their own rescheduled headline show at the ICA, London on Monday 5th October.

Additionally, the band will start recording their debut LP with Bernard Butler in London once they’ve finished the Cribs tour.

Upcoming UK shows:

24th September – Norwich – UEA*
25th September – Cambridge – Junction*
26th September – Liverpool – Academy*
28th September– Hull – University*
** 29th September – Glasgow – Captain's Rest **
30th September – Newcastle – University*
2nd October – Manchester – Apollo*
3rd October – Lincoln – Engine Shed*
4th October – Leeds – Academy*
5th October – London – ICA

* Tour dates with The Cribs and Adam Green

Lissy’s ‘Self Taught Learner’ EP is out now on Wichita and the band’s cover of Hot Chip’s ‘Ready For The Floor’ is confirmed as the closing track of the new Megan Fox film Jennifer's Body.
