Debut EP Songs From Under The Covers introduces the talents of loquacious singer-songwriter and online reality show star Katie V.

The record was written during the course of Katie’s time on hit Coca-Cola reality web series Green-Eyed World.

It introduces her unique voice – immediately evoking memories of legends such as Ella Fitzgerald and Etta James – to many for the very first time.

Multi-instrumentalist Katie, from North London, started playing the piano and writing her first songs as soon as she was old enough.

She has already written with partners including The Sex Pistols’ Glenn Matlock and Chaz Jankel, of Ian Dury and The Blockheads fame.

The debut EP is a collection of five songs showcasing her musical and songwriting prowess, heavily influenced by the swing/jazz era of the 50s and 60s.

It sees her teaming up with some of the most successful songwriters in recent pop history, whose credits include James Blunt, Amy Winehouse, Gwen Stefani and Seal.

Katie was handpicked to be the face of Green-Eyed World, the unique social interactive behind-the-scenes reality TV show from Sprite.

The show, in which Katie stars under full name Katie Vogel, focuses on an English musician who travels to the US in search of a career in the music business.

It has followed her on her adventures across the Atlantic, meeting interesting people along the way and trying to get herself heard, giving viewers a unique fly-on-the-wall glimpse of a musician trying to get her first break.

The show – an instant hit – was the first of its kind to integrate a social networking aspect with a reality show, so that viewers can chat about Katie’s progress and share their ideas and advice on certain situations directly.
