Love music? Want to write about it? We want to hear from you...
We're looking for the next generation of music writers - if you're a music lover and would like to start your career in music journalism we can help. We're looking for fans of all genres of music who want to write about the bands they love - reviews, news, features - whatever you want.
We're a proven route into full time work - many of our writers have either gone onto full time or paid journalism directly through the experience they've gained with us, others are now involved heavily in the film production industry and also in PR. We're happy to provide references for our writers who want to move on - in fact we actively encourage them to spread their wings and use The Digital Fix as a stepping stone to achieve their career dreams.
We can also offer advice and support on improving your writing skills - as long as you're keen to listen and learn, we are happy to spend the time offering suggestions and improvements to ensure you become the best that you can be. We don't expect solid commitments - this is a hobby for all involved - outside of those made when taking on review copies, paid feature work or having access arranged to events.
In all, we want our writers to ENJOY their time here.
While we currently have no budget for regular reviewers or news writers, we're always keen to welcome people onto our voluntary team and we try to offer as many incentives as we can - access to music, festivals, gigs, interview opportunities and more - in return for your time. You'll get to hear things before anyone else; it's pretty exciting!
If you're interested in joining our voluntary team, drop us an email at email@example.com and tell us a little bit about you, your interests and where you see yourself fitting in on the site. We'll then arrange with you an audition article so we can get a feel for your writing and whether it would be a good fit for the team and then hopefully we'll bring you on board.
We DO have a small budget to pay for features - if you're interested then put together a short paragraph explaining your feature idea and include any links to previous writing and we'll get back to you as soon as we can. If you're keen on pitching for a paid feature then click here for more information...
