Hot Chip - Tour News

The brilliant indefatigable 5 headed pop colossus that is Hot Chip have announced a return to the live arena with a UK tour in February that will span the length and breadth of the UK culminating in two back to back shows at Brixton Academy on February 26th & 27th (live dates listing below).

Furthermore, in a message posted on their website the quintet of Alexis Taylor, Joe Goddard, Al Doyle, Felix Martin and Owen Clarke also revealed that they were putting the ‘finishing touches’ to their fourth studio album. The new, as yet untitled album is the follow up to 2007s gold-selling Made In The Dark and although very few details of the album’s sound / direction are clear, being a Hot Chip album it’s inevitably going to be full of devious musical experimentation, killer pop hooks, heartfelt & soulful introspection and naturally, more than a few surprises.

For more details go to the band's website, where you buy tickets for forthcoming tour and also pre order Hot Chip’s eagerly anticipated fourth album.

The band have posted the following update:

“As events relentlessly continue to unfold inside the confines of Camp Hot Chip, we can reveal some diverting facts and interesting details of our plans for next year.  There will be a new album, set for release in early parts of next year, to warm the cockles of your soul right in the middle of the bleak mid-winter. We're just completing the finishing touches right now, and we're also gearing up for a return, possibly triumphant, to the live arena, as a UK tour is also in the offing for February. If any of that information floats your boat, then you can sign up to pre-order the album, get tickets for the tour and receive a new track at”
