Fanfarlo have announced details of the release of The Walls Are Coming Down on 21st September 2009. The single will be available as a download only via iTunes. The single is accompanied by a stunning video directed by renowned visual artists Iain Forsyth & Jane Pollard (www.iainandjane.com). Their unique works have been exhibited around the world and they have recently directed a number of music videos for Nick Cave.
The video features 28-year old Roslyn Walker, one of Europe’s only professional escapologists who performs a classic Harry Houdini inspired ‘straight-jacket escape’ suspended above the band while they play. The single is taken from their forthcoming debut album, "Reservoir", which will be released on 28th September 2009.
"Reservoir" was initially made available earlier this year as both a download for $1 and a very limited & lavishly packaged CD box exclusively through the Rough Trade shops, where it sold out in less than a week.
The group have also announced a U.K. tour in the Autumn – the joint-headline tour will also feature Sweden’s First Aid Kit. The full list of dates are as follows:
