Emily Burns continues on her path to stardom with Damn Good Liar

Having entranced us with her mini album earlier this year, Emily Burns has found time not only to go on tour supporting Tove Styrke but has also been working on new material - and the first track is her new single, 'Damn Good Liar'.

If her album showed signs of greatness then 'Damn Good Liar' is yet more evidence that we have a star here ready to break through. A banging pop track with a dance edge, it doesn't sound like anything else she's done - and given every single track on her previous album highlighted a whole new side to the singer, this is yet another impressive facet.

You can listen to Damn Good Liar on any of these streaming services.

Of the track, Emily says "Damn Good Liar is a really special song to me because I wrote it on my first ever writing trip to Sweden, with a production/writing duo called MadFun. I went into the session and told them all about how I'd recently been let down by someone who had led me to believe she had genuine feelings for me but in reality, didn't at all... I remember thinking - "She's such a good liar." It was amazing to piece the song together from that one thought, almost like therapy!"

Next year will see Emily continuing to release new music via her own label and she'll be kicking off her own headline tour in March taking in the following dates:

  • 14 March - The Bodega Social Club, Nottingham
  • 15 March - Broadcast, Glasgow
  • 16 March - YES, Manchester
  • 21 March - Hyde Park Book Club, Leeds
  • 22 March - Café Totem, Sheffield
  • 23 March - Louisiana, Bristol
