Dodos announce September UK tour

Psychedelic folk pop duo The Dodos are currently in Seattle recording their new album with Phil Ek (The Shins, Band Of Horses, Fleet Foxes). This will be the follow up to last year’s debut, Visiter which was released on Wichita and charted high in many ‘album of the year’ polls.

Visiter showcased the duo’s subtle folk pop dexterity, awash with complex and urgent rhythms no doubt gathered from lead singer Meric’s studies in West African Ewe drumming.

The Dodos’ signature elements of primitive percussion and a low current of tribal drums are at their psychedelic best when witnessed live. The combination of Logan Kroeber on drums and Meric Long on guitar and vocals onstage makes for an utterly commanding, compelling show.

September tour dates:

01 - Glee Club, Birmingham
02 - Thekla, Bristol
03 - Bull Hall, London
04 - King Tut's, Glasgow
05 - Ruby Lounge, Manchester
13 - End of The Road Festival, Dorset
