Coachwhips Tour UK

San Francisco noise merchants, Coachwhips, have announced a UK tour. Here's the press release in full...and you can read the CD Times review of the album here.

Press Release

Rising from the historically radical haven that is San Francisco, Coachwhips have been recording, writing and touring since 2001. With their DIY ethics, their no holds barred approach, and utter contempt for the conventions of a bloated rock n roll scene, Coachwhips have been carving a seditious niche across the country for the past three years, bringing us from their earliest demos to their newest and most effective record to date ‘Peanut Butter & Jelly, Live at the Ginger Minge’. With a new line-up firmly in place, featuring San Francisco all stars and living legends, Matt Von Hartman on Drums (Henry’s Dress), Val-Tronic on Keyboards (Double Dutchess) and John Dwyer (Pink and Brown) on guitar and vocals, or as he likes to be called, ‘Front Fuck.‘

The Coachwhips will be gracing our shores for a UK tour - see dates below.

“This threesome batter guitar, drums & keyboards with a speed and transistor shredding single-mindedness that’ll leave you feeling run over.” Mojo ****

“…a riotous, raw, supernaturally distorted and breathtakingly brief pillaging of ‘60s garage rock and synth-punk, both of which they render newly dangerous.” Uncut ****

“A furious, pulse-quickening ride.” Q ***

"Shock and awe are the responses this dense slab of antsy drone-punk demands, so come worship Coachwhips' knife-juggling mania." Kerrang! - KKKK

“Coachwhips mash together rusty no-fi blues with avant-rock no wave scree…The perfect soundtrack to any Saturday night keg party.” NME - 8/10
