UK debut from Grace Potter and the Nocturnals
Named one of Rolling Stone's Best New Bands of 2010, Grace Potter and the Nocturnals are set to release their self-titled UK debut album on August 2nd through Island Records. The five piece group's 13 track offering transcends their blues based rock roots, and cherry picks from the classic rock of Fleetwood Mac, Janis Joplin and Creedence Clear Water.
Produced by Mark Batson (Dr.Dre, Eminem, Jay-Z), the album opens with forthcoming single 'Paris' (July 26th) and features 'Medicine' about a black magic woman, their recent debut single 'Tiny Light' and the ballad 'Colors'.
An already established act at home in North America, the Vermont based band have released three records in US with this self-titled album reaching number 6 in the iTunes charts last week. Grace has also worked with the Oscar winning musician, Robert Plant and Alison Krauss producer and Coen Brothers collaborator T Bone Burnett.
