The Leisure Society invite you out on the seven seas!

The Leisure Society are the next band lined up for a pop-up session, after brilliant turns from Ghostpoet, Dels and The Boxer Rebellion. This one will take place at the floating venue that is Tamesis Dock on Thursday 24th November at 8.30pm. It's completely free, so head on down if you want to catch some of their rustic folk stylings. Find out a little more about the band below:

The band’s songwriter Nick Hemming first started his musical journey ten years ago when he became close friends with actor Paddy Considine and award winning director Shane Meadows (This Is England). This lead to a number of projects, most notably penning the scores for two of Meadows’ most outstanding films, A Room For Romeo Brass and Dead Man's Shoes.

Everything changed with the arrival of Christian Hardy, who convinced Nick to reinvigorate his love affair with singing, and make the all-important move to London, where they found likeminded souls in Brighton’s Willkommen Collective. They’ve gone from strength to strength since releasing their debut album The Sleeper in 2009 and, their second offering Into The Murky Water in May this year.
