The Burning Hell return with an ode to our shared love of music

The Burning Hell have announced their return with news of their short story themed album Public Library, due for release on 1 April via the BB*ISLAND label.

The super-witty and hyperliterate Canadian band have also released a new single, 'Men Without Hats'. In this single taken from the album, the band's driving force Mathias Kom tells the short story of his lifelong love of music, from buying his first single on audiocassette to performing himself in a band.

We'll leave you with Kom's own lyrics, and perhaps like us you'll repeatedly stream the audio as you repeatedly played your favourite singles, in whatever format, as a child. Also be sure to catch the band on their extensive British and Irish tour, dates listed below.

It’s life or death but it’s also just music
And it chooses you, you don’t get to choose it
But once you’re hooked you’re hooked like a rug or a john
So hats off to Ivan and all the rest of the bands
Thanks for giving us so many good reasons to dance
Thanks for giving us so many good reasons to sing along
