Following on from another stellar SXSW, San Franciscan eight-piece indie troupe, Still Flyin’ will be returning for a tour in May to bathe the UK with some much needed West Coast sunshine and good times. The live dates include appearances at The Great Escape, a much-coveted slot at Pavement ATP and Stag and Dagger as well as a few London shows. Full details are below.
This May, Still Flyin will be airing brand new material from the infectious afrobeat and krautrock sounds of their forthcoming EP ‘A Party In Motion’. Whilst we’ll have to wait to hear that in full, you can hear a taster in form of ‘Stay Wild, Tokelau’, which forms part of the latest Amnesty International compilation ‘Peace’ alongside tracks from Jeffrey Lewis, A Place To Bury Strangers, Micah P Hinson, Dan Deacon and Marc Almond amongst many others.

The Still Flyin live experience is not to be missed, a memorable energetic spectacle that lead both NME and Village Voice to hail Still Flyin as one of their top 5 bands to watch at SXSW 2009. In addition, Okkervil River's Will Sheff proclaimed on Pitchfork that Still Flyin' was his new favourite band after watching them live. "The most fun I've had at a show in quite a while,” he says. “It's just about the least pretentious music you could ever imagine...very fun to watch”
