Sarabeth Tucek - New Album and UK Tour

Brooklyn-based singer-songwriter Sarabeth Tucek releases 'State I Am In', the first single to be taken from her new album 'Get Well Soon', via Sonic Cathedral Recordings on May 2.

'State I Am In' is, on first listen at least, one of the more upbeat tracks on the album, both musically and lyrically, with its Dylan-esque wordplay and Crazy Horse guitars. Lest we forget, this is a collection of songs all based around the death of Sarabeth's father and her response to it, or as she puts it "an impressionistic rendering of a time ruled by grief".

Sarabeth describes 'State I Am In' as "a song about self-destructiveness", before explaining that "it's about attempting to walk in someone else's shoes. Someone you loved and lost. And then thinking, 'Maybe I should just go get drunk.'"
