This collaboration brings together the author and the original lead vocal, and what better combination to breathe new life into such an iconic song.

‘Love Will Keep Us Alive’ is taken from Paul Carrack’s 15th solo album, ‘A Different Hat’. Recorded with The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, the album saw Carrack reunite with producer, friend and former Van Morrison drummer Peter van Hooke.

Both Paul Carrack and Timothy B. Schmit have extremely successful careers spanning many years, including guest appearances on countless albums. The former vocalist of Mike and The Mechanics and the voice behind world-wide hits such as ‘How Long’ by Ace, Squeeze's ‘Tempted’ and, of course, the timeless classic ‘The Living Years’ Carrack is now firmly established as a solo performer. Initially finding fame with Ace and Roxy Music, Carrack has gone on to enjoy a successful career that spans 40 years, including guest appearances on over 60 albums, as well as writing for The Eagles, Diana Ross, Tom Jones, Michael McDonald and Jools Holland among others. Paul Carrack has always had the ability to combine the contemporary with the timeless classic effortlessly.
