Belfast based trio Not Squares have carved themselves a name as an incendiary live act, and are now set to unleash their forthcoming single on your ear drums. A live electronic assault of bass, synths, beats and shouts titled ‘Asylum’. Bassists and synth-heads Michael Kinloch and Ricki O’Rawe with Keith Winter on drums, and all three on vocals, could be deemed mild mannered men until they step onstage where they transform into raving beasts, delivering a ferocious and uncompromising sound that will have you pinned to the back wall.
Receiving strong support from Huw Stephens, Not Squares tore up 2009, playing a BBC Radio 1 Introducing Maida Vale session and major UK festival performances, including Reading, Leeds and Latitude Festival with dirty synths, distorted bass and tribal chants as their weapons of mass dance-off 2010 looks set to be their year.
The greatly anticipated release of their debut album is expected to drop in May 2010 on Dublin-based label Richter Collective. Get set to go buckwild to Not Squares at a venue near you.
