Music news round-up: Weds 3rd April

The Rolling Stones have announced a special outdoor show in London's Hyde Park for 6th July. The date follows some newly announced American dates which will run through May and June.

Melody’s Echo Chamber has been invited to join Tame Impala on their forthcoming UK and European tour, which includes a show at Hammersmith Apollo in London on June 25th. This will follow the band’s appearance as part of the Grizzly Bear-curated ATP event I’ll Be Your Mirror at Alexandra Palace on May 5th in London. The band will also be playing festival dates over the summer including Primavera Sound and Glastonbury.

Meteor Camden Crawl Dublin has announced that Echo & The Bunnymen will perform at the 2013 May Bank Holiday festival. The full line up, up to date news and festival information may be found here.

Bruce Foxton (The Jam/From The Jam/Stiff Little Fingers) returns this year with the second single from his 2012 album Back In The Room, ‘Don’t Waste My Time’ on 28th April.

Findlay’s new EP Off & On arrives April 29th via Manchester label Joyeux Anniversaire. The EP will be available as a limited edition 10” vinyl.

Punk long-timers The Vibrators are joined by a slew of VIP guests on their new CD On The Guest List, released by Cleopatra Records on May 7, 2013. The album features 13 new tunes written and recorded by founding Vibrators members Knox and Eddie with longtime bassist Pete, all engineered by original Vibrators bassist Pat Collier. Special guest appearances are by members of Supersuckers, MC5, UK Subs, The Damned, The Stranglers, The Dickies and more.
