Kasabian front man signs up unsigned Modern Faces for warm up tour support

Modern Faces are a five piece band from Dunfermline, Scotland. Since forming they have gathered a massive hometown following and proved this by playing to a 900 strong sell-out crowd at Dunfermline's Velocity in April of 2010, as well as consistently selling out PJ Molly's very intimate 350 capacity venue. They released their own EP No Mans Land in April of 2010 which attracted the ears of many within the industry and saw them play Liverpool Sound City Festival, This Feeling Club Night London, Death Disco London and Greasy Lips Manchester, supporting the likes of Shed Seven, Starsailor and playing the Primal Scream after show party in Brixton in March 2011. Their new recordings were uploaded to Myspace in mid February and they had picked up a management deal within 2 weeks and since then.

The band's fortunes really took off while waiting in line at a Beady Eye gig. Band members Gary and Monty took a rather unsuspected phone call. "it was Tom Meighan on the phone asking if we'd like to support Kasabian on their pre Festival 2011 warm up tour in Sheffield at the 02 Academy on 4th June and in Manchester at the 02 Apollo on 8th June, we were gob smacked and thought it was a complete wind up but its all real and we're loving it right now so onwards and upwards."

Upcoming shows:
Saturday 4th June
02 Academy Sheffield w/Kasabian

Tuesday 7th June
Hoxton Bar and Kitchen, London

Wednesday 8th June
02 Apollo Manchester w/ Kasabian
