‘THOSE THOUSAND SEAS’

RELEASED: February 8th, 2010
SINGLE: ‘UNDONE’ – out now

Swiss born singer/songwriter Claire Tchaikowski releases her stunning debut album-‘Those Thousand Seas’ on Grá Mór Phonic Records –out February 8th, 2010- produced by her mentor- Mike Hedges (U2, Dido, The Cure, Texas). The first single to be lifted from the album will be the sublime ‘Undone’- out now. Remixes supplied by 3artes & The Ladies & Cochi.

‘Those Thousand Seas’ is a sumptuous collection off emotive songs delivered in Claire’s unique beguiling voice. Claire grew up surrounded by horses- honing her craft as a ‘Horse Whisperer’ (being able to calm damaged and dangerous horses) and this mirrors her music.

She has also featured in Ricky Gervais’ Extras with Samuel L Jackson and V for Vendetta with Natalie Portman, to name a few – Claire’s other big passion is horse riding. She has trained with Joan Keogh, Chairman of Training for Dressage, Ireland and Jennie Loriston Clark MBE FBHS- one of Britain's best known riders and judges (representing GB in 5 Olympic Games).

Claire has strong Irish roots- born in Switzerland at the foot of the Alps to an Irish mother and a Polish/Irish father; she is bilingual. She has an extremely interesting history- her Polish grandfather escaped the Nazis and became a doctor on Harley Street and helped to raise money to rebuild Warsaw after WWII. Her father worked for the UN and went onto receive the Nobel Peace Prize as part of UNHCR team in 1981.
