Change the channel to TV21

Cult Scottish new wave act TV21 play their first London gig in over 28 years as guests of Department S at Hoxton Bar & Kitchen on Thursday 17 June 2010.

The date is to celebrate the launch of Snakes And Ladders: The Almost Complete TV21 on Rev-Ola Records. The album is the first-ever retrospective of TV21, an acclaimed Scottish post-punk band who formed in Edinburgh in 1979. The band recorded a string of singles including 'Snakes & Ladders' and an album A Thin Red Line as well as appearing on the Old Grey Whistle Test and supporting amongst others The Jam, The Undertones and The Rolling Stones. TV21 reunited in 2005 after being asked to perform as part of the John Peel Day gigs organised to mark the anniversary of the DJ's death. They have played many shows since and released a new album, Forever 22, last year.
