Staind - The HMV Forum, London

It has been almost three years since Staind had been on the stage of the Forum with their album The Illusion Of Progress, but tonight they were back and with their most recent self-titled album.

The night kicked off with support coming from Swedish band April Divine. These guys warmed up the Forum with a great set, and seemed to already have quite a few fans.

Staind emerged on stage at 9pm, Aaron Lewis - guitar in hand - made his way to the microphone where he begun their set with ‘Spleen’ from their 1999 album Dysfunction. It wasn’t hard to notice that tonight’s show wasn’t a sell out, and the Forum appeared half empty, compared to most nights I’ve been there and have barely been able to move. The band played a varied set, covering most of their albums, and the new album seems to be a hit with those fans who made the trip.

Spleen / Falling / Right Here / Eyes Wide Open / Fade / Crawl / So Far Away / Just Go / Throw It All Away / For You / Paper Wings / Outside / Not Again / It’s Been A While / Mudshovel / Something To Remind You
