Incubus - The HMV Forum, London
Incubus has had a career spanning over a decade and six studio albums, with the seventh due for release on July 12th, titled If Not Now, When? Tonight was a one off show at the HMV Forum, and the show was clearly highly anticipated having sold out well in advance. Fans had been patiently queuing outside the venue for hours, and eagerly awaited for the band to arrive on stage. There was no support act, instead the band were due on stage at the earlier time of 8:30pm.
As the band made the way onto stage, with Brandon Boyd heading to the front with cheers and screams coming from behind me, the band broke into 'Megalomaniac' for their first song, from the album A Crow Left Of The Murder. It was hard not to hear everyone from the crowd singing along to every song, and the band was giving it their all. Boyd was very charismatic on stage, and although looking a bit nervous, this in no way affected his performance, with his energy and vocal ability on stage on top form.
The whole show appeared to blow those in attendance away, and they will be happy to hear it won’t be long to see them again in concert, with the band planning an 18 month world tour after the release of their new album.
