Introducing... Kurran and the Wolfnotes

With the folk scene continuing to hit big, we've taken a few moments to ask Kurran, of Kurran and the Wolfnotes, some questions...

What's your earliest musical memory?
My sister and I used to love listening to the Gladiators in the car. I knew all the words to 'dreadlocks the time is now' but i was only about 5. Well, I used to make up a lot of sounds for words I didn't know or understand.

If you could hold a recording session with any five artists, who would you choose?
Cheryl Cole, the Gallagher brothers and a starved bear. With me and Neil Young in the control room.

You want to describe your music to a stranger on the street, who do you compare yourself to?
Manchester Orchestra.

You are going to live on a desert island for a year, which three albums do you take with you?
'The Devil and God are raging inside me' by Brand New, 'Grace' by Jeff Buckley and 'Upper Air' by Bowerbirds.

If we were to look at your MP3 player, what is the most embarrassing track or album that we'd find?
'mmmbop' by Hanson.

What sets you apart from the rest?
Our songs are different.

What is next for Kurran and the Wolfnotes?
We're preparing to record the album in November and to release it some time early next year.
