Charly Bliss' 2019
Not content with releasing a very well-received album (that'd be Young Enough), Brooklyn four-piece Charly Bliss recently released an EP follow-up, Supermoon. While they took a break from playing music we spoke to front-woman Eva Hendricks about their 2019.
What’s been the most exciting thing you’ve done in 2019?
We released our second record, Young Enough, and got to tour all over the world playing new songs that we really love!
What’s been your biggest challenge of 2019?
Keeping a clear head while touring so much and while so much was changing in all of our personal lives. Learning to trust myself more, even when it felt scary.
Where’s the coolest place you’ve played music in 2019?
AUSTRALIA! I’ve always wanted to go and it was a dream come true to actually spend some time there. It was better than I ever could have imagined it might be.
What’s the one album you’ve loved most in 2019?
Taylor Swift Lover
What’s been the song that’s most soundtracked your 2019?
'It’s Gonna Be Okay, Baby' by MUNA
What have you hated about 2019?
Still no proper veggie burger at Shake Shack.
What are you most excited about for in 2020?
A fresh start, and meeting my brother’s daughter who’s due to be born in January!
Finally, what’s the one thing about your 2019 that you’d like to share?
This was probably one of the most challenging, rollercoaster-y years of my life, but I’m super proud of all that we’ve accomplished and so excited and hopeful for what’s to come in the next year and the new decade!!!
