The Rasmus - Guilty
Round my way, In The Shadows was a surprise hit given that I thought it no more than ordinary whilst everyone else greeted like the classic pop/rock that it never was. But it had a nagging quality that left it hard to shift once the melody had gotten in there and a top 3 chart placing and a 'sold out' tour was evidence that, er, someone more sympathetic should have picked up the review copy.
But if Guilty really is no better than the single that preceded it, it's not that much worse and a lower chart placing will only come about from people who bought the Dead Letters album after In The Shadows enjoyed a short period of success. That said, it'll now reach number one, still be there at Christmas and lead to The Rasmus, which is still a dreadful name, becoming the most successful rock act since The Beatles. I'll take back all of these comments now...
