Maps have announced details of the release of a new single, ‘Die Happy, Die Smiling’, which will be released on 25th January 2010 on Mute. The single, taken from his recently released second album, Turning The Mind, features mixes from A Place To Bury Strangers, Maxime Dangles and Subscape.
‘Die Happy, Die Smiling’ was recorded during the album sessions with Tim Holmes (Death in Vegas) at the Contino Rooms in London.
"I’m really happy with the remixes,” commented James Chapman, aka Maps. “Maxime Dangles has done an amazing disco-killer of a mix, and also A Place To Bury Strangers have produced something truly special. Everything about the new record and Die Happy, Die Smiling is much harder, purely electronic, the way things should be.”
