teenagersintokyo get the Horrors

Sydney's favourite dark pop quintet teenagersintokyo are back and ready to cast their bewitching spell in 2010 with their brand new single "Peter Pan", released on February 8. Coming on like a cross between the serrated punk-pop of Gang of Four and the twilit drama of Siouxsie and the Banshees, "Peter Pan" barrels out of the speakers shrouded with mystery and menace, packing a potent punch while at the same time luring you in with a seductive, dangerous beauty. Jagged guitars ring, drums crash, and the song ebbs and flows unpredictably, with the haunted tale of lost childhood reaching its volatile peaks in the strangely addictive chorus. The single is but a taster from their forthcoming debut album, produced by David Kosten (Bat for Lashes) and released in spring 2010, and comes backed with a sparse, ghostly remix by The Horrors.
