Pavement to headline Øyafestival 2010
Øyafestival is the largest outdoor music festival in Oslo, the capital of Norway and after the massive success of this year's event, the 8th year where tickets have sold out months in advance for the festival, its status was cemented as one of the best in Europe. Promting a diverseline up from across the globe - 2009 saw Arctic Monkeys, Röyskopp, Madness, Lily Allen, Bon Iver, Grizzly Bear, The Very Best and The Big Pink all grace one of the 4 stages.
And it's with great pride and pleasure that Øya Festival announces its first big act for 2010, none other than the recently reformed Pavement will be coming to Oslo in August. In London they've already sold a total of 20,000 tickets - four nights at Brixton Academy - in the blink of an eye, make sure you have a ticket for next year's big comeback. After ten years of silence, we're finally going to get to hear American lo-fi rock and pop the way it is supposed to sound.
