Bulldog Bash News...Music, Bikes, Beards, C'Mon
Chuck Berry has confirmed an exclusive UK appearance - his only British show this year - at The Bulldog Bash, Britain's Best Music And Bike Festival, which takes place on August 12th, 13th, 14th & 15th at Shakespeare County Raceway, Long Marston, Near Stratford On Avon, Warwickshire, England.
This will be the 18th annual Bulldog Bash, a unique event on the UK festival calendar, set up and run by bikers for bikers, and lovers of all things hard and metallic - from exotic custom bikes, to jet force drag cars, the 'Wall of Death', and, of course, Rock and Metal bands a plenty.
The Shakespeare County Raceway Drag Strip boasts one of the best racing surfaces in Europe, and the Bulldog Bash always attracts an amazing variety of top fuel cars and bikes, jet cars, jet karts, jet lorries, and stunt riders. Regular shows with the pro and demo racers and other special attractions - some hurtling at world record breaking speeds, including the awesome Fireforce 1 and 2 jet cars - alternate with 'Run What You Brung', where amateurs jump at the chance to blast their own machines down the dragway at full force... whatever the consequences.
This year, inspired by rock 'n' roller Chuck Berry's headlining slot, sees the addition of a Custom Car show alongside Britain's Premier Custom Bike Competition, which carries a top prize of £5000.
There will be trade stalls of every description, a huge fairground with ejector seat bungee jumping, tattoo and piercing stalls, a mini moto arena, and not forgetting the Topless Bike (and anything else) Wash plus endless stalls selling all types of motorcycle parts, (both new & second hand), services, biker accessories & clothing.
Growing in popularity every year, the UWA wrestling bouts have become a regular attraction and firm favourite. After the main bouts, they culminate with an all comers over-the-top-rope royal rumble for the vacant Bulldog Belt.
Wet t-shirt and beer gut competitions will be complemented by appearances from the ever popular Erotic Dancing Girls (AKA the Filthy Dirty Strippers).
The all night dance tent will once again be run by the Aura Orange Soundsystem in a massive purpose built black-out marquee, creating an awesome club UV environment boasting full 6W + multicolour laser & intelligent light shows and multiple full screen live visuals.
Reasonable prices for all drinks and food sold are set by the organisers; "What your grub should cost you" is printed in the complimentary programme, and service in the bar is legendarily swift.
The Bulldog Bash has evolved from a tiny gathering 18 years ago to become Europe's biggest and best biker / rock festival - because the organisers thought of the event they would like to attend and made it happen. The incredible, laid back, rock and biker community atmosphere has developed of its own accord. A unique event on the UK festival calendar, The Bulldog Bash has an enviable reputation as the safest rock festival in the land, as has frequently been publicly acknowledged by the local police force.
