As melodically ambitious as Noel-on-a-roll and as shoe-shine devoted as a young Paul Weller, Mark writes songs for the everyday pop dreamer. The Grandson of two Hungarian refugees who fled to Britain during the Hungarian Uprising of 1956, Mark was born and raised in the suburbs of Luton. After a serious of record label let downs, Mark enjoyed his first chart success, at the age of 21, in 2003 with the release of two singles, Get Through and Fly. Both entered the top 40 without any involvement from a record label. Mark promoted and distributed the singles himself all through his own independent label Mark Joseph Records. No PR, no marketing scams and no media promotion. Subsequently signed by 14th Floor Records, Marks next single, Bringing Back The Memories, secured his third top 40 hit in March in 2004.
This Summer will see the much deserved, major label release of Marks debut album Scream. Originally released on his own label last year, the album has been fully re-recorded with Marc Tanner (Cheap Trick/Aerosmith) and Paul Buckmaster (Elton John/Harry Nilsson).
