Broadway Calls are set to release new single ‘Be All You Can’t Be’ and have announced dates supporting Offspring and a Reading/Leeds festival appearance.
The new offering from 3-piece Broadway Calls will be available as a special edition vinyl 7” and digital download on the 20th July 2009. Singer Ty Vaughn said “Be All That You Can't Be is inspired by the fact that everyday in the public schools in the US, there are military recruiters walking the halls. They single out the poor kids, or the kids that can't get a scholarship and tell them that the military is their only option. I think it's dangerous and irresponsible.” The b-side is a track exclusive to the 7inch release only, entitled “Jump At The Shadows”.
February 09 saw Broadway Calls – singer Ty Vaughn, bassist Matt Koenig and drummer Josh Baird - open for Alkaline Trio on a string of dates throughout the UK and they now look forward to touring as part of the Warped tour throughout the U.S for the second time. They have also just been announced as support on the Offspring European tour, which includes two dates in the UK- London Brixton Academy and Manchester Academy - as well as playing the NME stage at the Reading and Leeds festivals.
