P!nk - Last To Know
Having made it into almost every magazine on the newsstand but for Razzle, which is the only one I'd actually liked to have seen her in, and having talked pop and girl-on-girl to Q, a difficult childhood to Marie Claire and makeup tips to Glamour, P!nk gets around to releasing Last To Know, the third single to be taken from last year's Try This.
Written with that album's major writing partner, Tim Armstrong, once of punk band Rancid, Last To Know isn't a bad four minutes of punk-pop but despite P!nk's voice crackling on the chorus, it's not quite as punk as it would so obviously like to be. Both the acoustic guitars and the keyboards are more tasteful than they ought to be and although P!nk gets her first 'fuck' into the song's opening line, nobody older than thirteen will be overly bothered.
Last To Know is still alright but between the pop, one song in which P!nk cuts loose would be worth all of the rest right now.
