One of the hottest young acts in the world…

Metro Station are due to hit the UK hard in 2009 with the release of their debut album. This is a band born out of social networking sites whose dedicated legion of online fans made them an internet phenomenon in a matter of weeks. The facts speak for themselves. A total of 22 million plays across 4 tracks on MySpace and 24 million plays across 3 videos on YouTube (including 16.5 million views of Shake It alone). Their Bebo page has 16k page views and 5.7k fans, which is a healthy figure considering the band are yet to hit the UK. The Band are truly a product of their times and their generation, and they are ready to take advantage of it.

Fronted by Trace Cyrus, son of Billy Ray and brother of teen sensation Miley Cyrus, Metro Station were Signed to Red Ink after an intern discovered them – where else?—on MySpace and recorded their album in New York City. Warped Tour veterans Motion City Soundtrack produced two tracks, “Kelsey” and “Comin’ Around” off their debut album, and the band worked on the remaining tracks with celebrated producers Sam Hollander and Dave Katz (Gym Class Heroes, Boys Like Girls). They are also signed to Crush Management, following in the footsteps of bands like Fall Out Boy and Panic! At the Disco.

Already enjoying huge success in US Metro Station due to hit the UK in January on tour with Girls Like Boys. They will release their first single ‘Shake It’ in March with their album following rapidly in its wake. Metro Station are infectious and instantaneous.
