'THE TOUR OF THE PLAYGROUND' ANNOUNCED FOR MARCH
The Boy Least Likely To are back with their second album The Law of the Playground, accompanied by a new single and a selection of live dates. The follow up to their acclaimed debut The Best Party Ever, Pete Hobbs (music, instruments) and Jof Owen (words, voice) are back to their roots with an album packed full of mischievous energy which, as with their debut, offers a perfect foil to downbeat lyrical concerns.
If The Best Party Ever was the sound of a band chancing their way up the ladders, then The Law Of The Playground finds them merrily sliding back down the snakes. Musically they exemplify the same playful wide eyed indie pop as on their debut album, but lyrically the album is darker and more isolated. It's a record about what happens when all of your dreams come true and it isn’t how you thought it would be. Yet never has such a whimsically introspective record sounded so damn gleeful. The Boy Least Likely To have played lots of concerts in lots of countries, supporting the likes of James Blunt and Razorlight in stadiums here and in America. The experience may have gained them many fans across the world but wasn't without its pitfalls, so now the Buckinghamshire happily return to the play a nine date UK tour of pleasingly intimate venues. Peter, Jof and the band have gained a reputation for superb live shows; ‘
The Tour of the Playground’ will recapture the excitement of early shows and remind fans what started their love affair with this special group.
